Valley Forge National Historical Park
After visiting my sister in Washington DC for a few days we decided to break up our long drive home back to Massachusetts but stopping in a Valley Forge National Historical Park. Logan liked the Junior Ranger program offered here and learning all about George Washington and the winter encampment of the Continental Army.
We choose to take the self guided Encampment Tour after our stop at the visitor center and enjoyed listening to the cell phone tour option that is provided. Stopping in to see the living quarters to see how they lived during that winter was one of Logan’s favorite parts.
While there were lots of hiking and biking trails visible to us during our 10 mile drive through the park, we did not have the chance this time around to enjoy them. This was a perfect little stop for our afternoon adventuring!
