OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Just as we try and encourage our son to explore the outdoors more often, we also wish that our readers will do the same. You do not have to plan a a big trip or spend lots of money to go on outdoor adventures. Some of our best walks in the woods, canoe trips, hikes, and winter exploration take place in and around our around our hometown.
The posts below are some of those explorations that require no more then a sense of adventure and a love of the outdoors!
There are lots of little walking trails at the Acton Arboretum and my favorite part of the afternoon was when we stumbled upon a collection of rocks carved with inspirational words.
We took our time and meandered down the river to allow time for Stew and Logan to fish off the side of the boat
The wild flowers were so vibrant and abundant, even if the trail was muddy.
This former Army Annex has become a wonderful place to take a quick hike.
We took a two mile round trip hike across Nelson Island to the coast line of Plum Island Sound.
